Life's Changes

I am officially married. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife in Kim. She has shown me dreams really do come true if you have faith and patience. I thank God for answering my prayers with the acquisition of the upstairs. This will allow the continuous pursuit of truly making One Martial Arts better than ever. I have so many dreams and ideas for the expansion. I’m smiling as I write this because I believe we are on a path to being our very best. We will be able to improve our classes and learning environment. We will be able to provide a better waiting area for our parents and siblings. Our day camps will have their own permanent space, improving the quality of our award winning camps. The upstairs will feature two very private rooms, allowing us to offer more private lessons during prime hours. I believe private lessons are an integral part of higher learning. Now more of our students will be able to enjoy the benefits. We will increase our number of restrooms to four, which is a very good thing. The upstairs will also offer two smaller learning areas for more focused classes. The potential is only limited by how big we can dream. Imagine a child downstairs taking a their class, while a parent is upstairs taking a semi-private Yoga or Adult Martial Arts class. Imagine an afterschool program, where a child has a space to do homework, attend their class, play games or do arts and crafts, and is waiting with a smile to be picked up by their parent after work. I am so excited, are you? I say it all the time, “Together we can do anything”. I know we can. The best part is, this is just the beginning of a dream come true.

Thank you Lord.

Can You Be Great When Life is Hard?

We live in a world of immediate gratification. Our children have been conditioned to believe if they don’t get in now, it is not worth having. They find it more gratifying to quit if things become hard, instead of not giving up and staying committed to their goal. “It is easy to be great when things are going your way”. The question is, “Can you be great when things are hard?” It is when things are at their hardest, that we are offered the opportunity to build character and self-esteem by not giving up. I believe hard work is the key to success and having the best quality life possible. It teaches any goal can be achieved if you are willing to give 100% and not give up. We offer a very challenging curriculum to give our students the opportunity to be their best. This will provide them with the tools to succeed in a very competitive world that demands only the best. I encourage everyone to embrace our martial arts programs with commitment and perseverance. Look at it as an opportunity, not a burden, to become a better person.
